The State Bar of Arizona’s Board of Governors re-elected Attorney Sam Saks as a District 6 (Maricopa County) Representative. He will continue serving on the Board of Governors’ executive council as Vice President and is focused on increasing the Bar’s value to all its 18,000+ members.

“With good leadership, the Bar can help improve every member’s practice without instituting unnecessary regulations,” Sam said. “I will push to reform the rules governing our practice to make them more sensible while assuring the public is protected from unscrupulous lawyers as well as non-lawyers.”

Sam has been involved with the Bar for 12 years. On top of his role as a Representative, he has served as a member of the Rules Committee and Chair of the Appointments Committee.

Sam has nearly 20 years of experience in all phases of commercial litigation and tort litigation, including discovery, motion practice, trial, mediation and appeal. In addition to his legal practice, he volunteers to conduct numerous settlement conferences in civil cases.
