The Secretary of State Voter Information Pamphlet Maricopa County voters receive in the mail before a general election contains findings and data from the Commission on Judicial Performance Review to help them decide whether they will vote to retain each judge on the ballot. This year, Sam Saks is one of 22 attorneys serving on the Commission’s conference teams.
Sam serves on a conference team that also includes one judge volunteer and one public volunteer. Together, they will meet with four Maricopa County Superior Court judges to set performance goals and review the judges’ respective data reports, survey comments and public comments before issuing a Conference Team Report that the Commission uses to make the decisions it publishes on its website in addition to the pamphlet.
In addition to his practice as a commercial litigator, Sam serves as a pro tem judge in Maricopa County Superior Court, conducting numerous settlement conferences in civil cases. He is also a Certified Arbitrator with Maricopa County Superior Court.
