Lauded for his expertise in executing and communicating alternative dispute resolution (ADR), Gary Smith’s term has been extended on the American Arbitration Association (AAA)’s National Roster of Arbitrators and Mediators.

For the next three years, Gary will continue to serve alongside former judges, fellow legal professionals, and subject-matter experts as a resource for individual and organizational dispute resolution outside of court. His arbitration experience spans several areas, including construction design and defect, personal injury, contract disputes, and professional fees. Gary was previously named to the AAA’s roster of neutrals for both mediation and arbitration. He has also taught classes to the association’s roster on ADR approaches.

The AAA routinely reviews the overall roster to determine whether the composition of the roster matches the needs of its caseloads. The nonprofit organization has six primary panels, and several specialty panels made up of legal professionals in focused topics of their disciplines. Those on the roster are required to take ongoing education in the craft of arbitration.

Gary is a seasoned litigator, advisor, mediator, and arbitrator. He focuses his practice on commercial matters, construction, real estate, cannabis, and administrative law and has represented many individual and institutional clients in state and federal courts, administrative hearings, and arbitration.
