To help the Psychedelics Bar Association (PBA) change the perception of psychedelics, Gary Smith is serving on the organization’s Legalization and Regulation Committee.
As a committee steward, Gary will work with other accomplished attorneys from around the country to solve novel legal and policy issues impacting the emerging psychedelics sector. PBA seeks to address the psychedelics-related ethical, policy and legal challenges faced by diverse groups of people in the United States and worldwide.
An attorney, arbitrator and founding member of Guidant Law Firm, Gary is general counsel to the nation’s oldest multi-racial peyote church and has acted as a legal consultant in numerous cases. Gary authored Psychedelica Lex, the preeminent legal manual for individuals and groups interested in psychedelics and enthogens. Additionally, he advocates and rallies support for the proposed Uniform Plant and Fungi Medicine Act.
